Smita Gupta, Assoc. AIA

Smita is a Principal based in Gensler’s San Diego office who most recently served as a Sciences practice area leader for the firm’s Southwest region. Previously as Gensler’s Director of India Operations, she coordinated Gensler partners in India and our teams in the U.S. to ensure all projects met their business, design and delivery goals, as well as our clients’ expectations. Smita joined Gensler in 1996 and, after leaving to become a Senior Strategic Facilities Planner at Genentech, returned in 2007 to lead Gensler’s efforts in India. She offers a highly valued combination of experience in strategic planning, workplace design, and building architecture. Smita holds a Bachelor of Science from Westbrook College and a Master of Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University.
