With roots in Raleigh stretching back to the original 1867 bookstore, Alfred Williams & Company, a certified Herman Miller Dealer, offers a wide array furniture solutions and interior design services. After moving out of the city’s center a number of years ago, the company was lured back by the energy created by recent development. The company’s new downtown home incorporates the simple, modernist palette found in a number of Herman Miller designs: glass, metal and wood, for an open showroom and workplace. With refined detailing and materials integration, the design significantly elevates the formerly austere site’s street presence and makes for enhanced client relationships.
