Belkin International

Los Angeles, California

In consolidating its creative studio and executive and administrative offices into a single headquarters, Belkin aimed to encourage interaction among these formerly separate groups. Using its workplace survey, Gensler designed Belkin’s office to be a model for new generations.  From the main, open areas of individual work stations, intimate collaboration places are carved out—including team rooms and cylindrical spaces for more casual gatherings. A neutral palette of concrete, white and green surrounds the dark core, through which dramatic, sunlit alleys of color cut. Rough and refined design elements dynamically express the firm’s quintessential Southern California culture coupled with its D-I-Y spirit.
