Dylan's Candy Bar

Following the continued growth and success of her first store, Dylan Lauren turned to Gensler to help develop an effective design strategy for several new Dylan’s Candy Bar locations that would incorporate both a consistent retail vision and a cohesive brand strategy. Working closely with Dylan to translate her vision––a place where customers encounter everything there is to offer in the world of candy, sweets and desserts––into a tangible project, Gensler designed a whimsical yet functional environment that could easily be implemented across multiple locations. Beginning with a renovation of the original New York City store’s café, Gensler developed a design strategy for new store locations in Miami and Los Angeles that combine an evolving prototype design with newly developed display elements. Gensler worked to maintain a cohesive design strategy throughout all store locations, incorporating customized variations unique to each locale.
