In moving to a new facility from a sprawling campus it had occupied for 40+ years, Honeywell took the opportunity to re-think its workplace design, processes and user experiences. To guide them, Gensler held visioning sessions, focus groups and interviews to determine employee preferences. The findings resulted in a “Playbook for an Enhanced User Experience” and drove the development of a prototype “Learning Lab” where employees choose where and how they work, and new amenities, technologies and ways of organization are tested. Findings from the visioning process will inform Gensler’s design for the Honeywell headquarters and continue to support an improved work experience there.
