MasterCard New York

New York, New York

For its new downtown New York office, MasterCard sought to abandon what it described as the “corporate beaten path” for a fresher, more unexpected identity that would feature the company’s growing technology product development practice. Balancing flexibility and functionality on a limited budget, the new Silicon Alley space features an open plan, height-adjustable workstations and “meet-up” spaces that promote choice and flexibility. Exposed brick and concrete conveys an urban feel, while the design team expressed MasterCard's new innovative edge by applying twists to corporate standards, such as ceiling tiles installed in a pixelated pattern, boldly patterned modular carpet and corduroy wallcovering.
