In an effort to demonstrate the need for additional office space, a Fortune 500 media company hired Gensler to perform a full real estate and occupancy management analysis of the company’s workspace. Using Wisp™ to collect and analyze the space and occupancy data for all locations, it was revealed that the company was nearly 18 percent over capacity. This initiated further examination to determine if the appropriate capacity could be achieved through a space redesign. A high-level density analysis and test fit scenarios followed, leading to the addition of 98,000 square feet of space, and, later, the construction of a new campus to support the firm’s five-year growth projections.
