Polsinelli Shughart, Phoenix

In its new Phoenix offices, law firm Polsinelli Shughart sought to convey both its national brand and a sense of its surroundings—within a tight schedule and a limited budget. The design features strong geometry, precise alignments and refined materials. Views to downtown Phoenix are maximized—through over 100 linear feet of glass—in the reception area and client lounges.  The design team chose north facing oak reclaimed from old Ohio River Valley barns as the primary wood. This warm wood welcomes guests in the lobby and was used for conference room and attorney office doors; the same horizontal grain pattern unifies the whole space.
