Gensler’s Nila R. Leiserowitz Elevated to IIDA College of Fellows in 2018
Chicago, Illinois — Gensler is proud to announce that Nila R. Leiserowitz, Regional Managing Principal and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors, was elevated to the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) College of Fellows for 2018.
The IIDA College of Fellows honors members who practice interior design at the highest level, and have made a significant impact on the profession, association, and industry at large. As the highest honor the association can bestow upon a member, it also recognizes a designer’s dedication to shaping the future of design through mentorship and educational programs, among other efforts.
“I am honored to be elevated to this year’s IIDA College of Fellows,” said Leiserowitz. “For more than 40 years, I have dedicated myself to demonstrating the power of design to our clients; surrounding myself with the brightest minds in the industry; and striving for integrity, innovation, and design excellence in our work. I am grateful to be recognized and look forward to continuing a path of growing and learning from my fellow up-and-coming and experienced designers for years to come.”
As Regional Managing Principal of Gensler’s North Central Region, Leiserowitz leads more than 400 professionals while overseeing business development for four offices. She also serves on the Management Committee, and has expanded the size and diversity of Gensler’s corporate client base, including the addition of the Firmwide Health & Wellness Practice Area. Leiserowitz also serves on the Chicago Architecture Foundation’s Board of Trustees and Executive Committee; sits on the board of World Business Chicago and the Marwen Foundation; and is a member of International Women’s Forum (IWF), The Chicago Network, and the Economic Club of Chicago.
