Markus Pesendorfer

Markus brings more than two decades of international experience design and strategy knowledge to Gensler clients. An inspiring and collaborative leader, he oversees the creative output of APME’s Brand Design and Retail & Consumer Experience teams and works across a diverse range of project types from retail experiences to mixed use developments, focusing on placemaking in the process.

Currently based in Singapore, Markus moved to China in 2002 and Tokyo in 2019, and in the past 22 years has leveraged his experience and deep competency to translate complex and dynamic consumer trends into thoughtful profitable solutions. Markus is a storyteller, delivering authentic experiences tailored to fit the brands of his clients. An inspiring and collaborative leader, he oversees the creative output of studio teams and works across a diverse range of project types from retail stores to retail centers, mixed use developments, and corporate workplaces. With an education spanning architecture to visual communication, Markus applies this truly broad perspective and expertise to creating holistic solutions.
