Melissa believes that great spaces come as a result of designing with the user point of view in mind, and you can see this in her work across many project types – workplace, higher education, aviation design and retail spaces. She is known for her fresh perspective and collaborative design approach, engaging the client and team members in a process that merges programmatic needs, user experience, art and sustainability in a way that brings out the best in the project. Melissa is passionate about sharing knowledge and helping to influence the next generation of designers. She serves on the advisory board of the interior design program at UC Berkeley Extension, and has mentored and taught at CCA and the Academy of Art.
