As a global leader in the Industrial & Logistics practice at Gensler, Rick focuses on process-driven projects where the client’s technical needs and workflow are critical to the success of their facility. His experience spans across project types including logistics last-mile facilities, manufacturing and assembly, command centers, and support spaces, such as training facilities and parts distribution. Rick has structured the delivery strategies for national logistics roll-out programs for Amazon that allowed Gensler to deliver large-scale logistics projects, encompassing up to 300,000 square feet, within 28 calendar days. He is passionate about partnering with clients to immerse himself in their business to optimize the project delivery to meet demanding schedules while delivering complex solutions to serve clients’ unique needs.

He has led multidisciplinary teams of architects, planners, and interior designers on a wide variety of projects, across industrial facilities, retail, food and beverage, automotive, education, workplace, and the commercial office sectors. Rick has worked extensively in the automotive sector, and in 2006, he worked with Toyota to design the world’s first LEED automotive dealership, which prompted the entire U.S. automotive industry to take notice and implement sustainable strategies in their dealerships. Rick received a Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Texas at Austin.
