Todd Pilgreen, AIA, LEED® AP BD+C

Co‑Managing Director, Principal

As Co-Managing Director for Gensler’s Shanghai Office, Todd leads a diverse practice of design professionals focused on driving design excellence across our portfolio footprint in China. He is a passionate advocate for leveraging research and collaboration to spur entrepreneurial and creative thinking that builds trust with his team and clients alike. With more than 27 years of experience, Todd has directed the design and execution of projects in global markets, building an award-winning mixed-use and entertainment-based portfolio. Prior to Gensler, Todd acted as one of the design leaders for MOMA PS1 in New York, Kerry Center in Shenyang, and City of Dreams in Macau.

At Gensler, Todd has been instrumental in growing the Mixed Use & Retail Centers practice in Greater China, with projects including Fosun Taicang Retail Street, China Merchants Group Zhanjiang Development, and Shanghai’s heritage Wujiang Road Repositioning. He is a licensed architect in the State of California, an executive committee member of the American Institute of Architects Shanghai Chapter, Shanghai Advisory Committee for Urban Land Institute, and a LEED AP BD+C. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of New Mexico and his Master of Architecture from the University of California Los Angeles.
