Market Leader, Inc.

Bellevue, Washington

After merging with online real estate company Trulia, Market Leader relocated its headquarters from a suburban setting to downtown Bellevue, near Seattle, hiring Gensler to create a new, urban workplace. Translating the physical move to the design concept, urban grids and sightlines inspire pathways through the office and encourage street-like interaction. To maximize flexibility and liveliness, the work areas are organized in neighborhoods, and the expansive open-floor is punctuated by rooms of varying height and color in an array of team and individual focus spaces. A central stair connects the two floors – each with an active café-lounge – and the 150-person “town hall” serves as an all-staff center.
