Northwood Investors challenged Gensler to transform a dark, dated basement and first floor space into a bright, connected, and inspiring workspace for its growing Denver team. The space’s historic charm was maximized with exposed brick, painted cross bracing, and polished concrete which complement natural wood and steel elements. An existing opening between the floors was enlarged and a connecting stair was strategically positioned to allow abundant natural light to penetrate all levels. Amenities such as the fitness studio, locker rooms, the work café, and the game area are housed on the lower level to encourage movement and interactions between the floors.
