One Post Office Square

Boston, Massachusetts

Gensler is transforming this prominently-located 1980s building into a premier office tower, with new standards for excellence in healthy environments, open and connected workspaces, and onsite services, all designed to attract the next generation of tenants. Notable interventions include nearly 200,000-square feet of additional office space, a series of outdoor terraces, and expanded street-level retail space, which are carefully-phased to enable tenant occupancy during construction. An elegant curtainwall replaces pre-cast concrete to create a modern and timeless facade. Triple-glazed glass, a chilled beam MEP system, and other sustainable elements targeting LEED v4 Gold certification position the building to be amongst the highest-performing properties of its kind in Boston. An 18-story addition, featuring automated parking designed for future conversion to other uses, replaces an existing on-site garage.
