Perfect Day at CocoCay

The holistic experience throughout Royal Caribbean International’s fleet of cruise ships is carefully curated to create lasting, memorable moments for travelers. To extend this experience from sea to land, the cruise line partnered with Gensler to create an engaging yet seamless guided guest experience with the transformation of their exclusive destination island in the Bahamas, Perfect Day at CocoCay. The 144-acre island aims to equally serve both “thrill-seeking” and “chill-seeking” guests with robust amenities brought to life by Gensler’s design of the large-scale water slide tower, architectural neighborhood portals, and destination identities. Placemaking elements, thoughtfully lead by a playful and informative island-wide wayfinding and signage program, are inspired by authentic Bahamian culture, color, and texture. This fun and experiential signage system offers a fully integrated vacation experience, connecting visitors at every touchpoint on their Royal Caribbean trip.
