A decline in revenues from stadium concessions led the San Diego Padres and Delaware North Companies to partner with Gensler to create five new landmark restaurants/bars that add a sense of locality for locals and visiting fans. Gensler also managed a team of five contractors to implement another 19 concessions projects over a four-month offseason window. The redesign brings a local flair to the stadium’s concessions, offering visitors a “taste of San Diego.” Five concessions — Stone Brewing Co., Rimel’s on the Roof, Tap Room, Phil’s BBQ and Seaside Market  — each with a unique character and design, offer local iconic foods or drinks. Since opening day, concessions have significantly surpassed same-store sales of past seasons.
