Phoenix Convention Center, South Building Renovation

Phoenix, Arizona

This state-of-the art convention and meeting facility serves as Arizona’s “front door,” attracting visitors, tourism and economic development. Jointly funded by the city and state, the facility—renovated in three phases—seamlessly incorporates exhibit halls, meeting rooms and conference centers, within and among the three buildings that comprise it.  Inspired by Arizona’s natural environment, history and culture, the design amplifies the use of natural lighting, exposed building systems and sustainable materials and strategies for a dynamic visitor’s experience that is “unquestionably of Arizona.”
