Emphasizing indoor/outdoor connections, Playa C’s new headquarters enjoys direct access to the communal outdoor amenities of this dynamic office campus. Inside, workspaces and public areas are integrated into multi-purpose spaces, and breakout areas have a residential feel. Dispensing with private offices has resulted in a non-hierarchal environment that promotes creative exploration and expression and attracts talent. Deftly contrasted interior finishes, such as raw concrete and wood beams juxtaposed with expanses of clean drywall, invoke a contemporary feel in the former warehouse. Bold graphics commissioned by two local artists infuse a Southern California vibe and provide dynamic splashes of color.
