Synapse

Seattle, Washington

Synapse, a Seattle-based product development company, wanted an office space to reflect its distinctive culture, while being adaptable for rapid growth. The emerging tech company challenged Gensler to create “the best place we’ve ever worked.” In response, the workspace incorporates flexible collaboration zones and meeting spaces, maximizing openness and ad-hoc interactions. Small meeting rooms and nooks adjacent to or within the work zone support different project phases and work styles. The design elements, from “Synapse Red” paint to industrial wood, steel and concrete details, convey Synapse’s culture and company story. Utilizing its more efficiently-planned workspace, Synapse has increased headcount by 40 percent and doubled its support space.
