Texas Tech Sports Performance Center

Lubbock, Texas

Texas Tech University selected Gensler as the designer and architect of the school’s Sports Performance Center and Jones Stadium South End Zone Project. The Sports Performance Center houses a world-class, 200-meter, banked track and an artificial turf field used by the football team as well as other Texas Tech student-athletes.

The stadium renovation razed the existing south end zone building, which previously houses administrative offices for Athletics, and rebuilds with new suites and related premium spaces, team training table, and new large-format video boards.

The Sports Performance Center houses a dedicated strength and conditioning space, a refueling nutrition station, sports medicine spaces and hydrotherapy space all for dedicated use by its student-athletes. The Sports Performance Center also includes a dedicated equipment room and loading dock for receiving of goods from the Texas Tech University's preferred apparel provider.
