Traxys, a metal commodities trading company, partnered with Gensler to design its 30,000-square-foot headquarters with sophisticated digital and physical touchpoints. Upon arrival, a mixed-media installation welcomes guests into the space with a transparent LCD screen that displays 15 of the company’s most prominent minerals. Each mineral has an accompanying cinematic digital short that showcases its importance in everyday life and is designed to engage with everyone that moves throughout the space, providing a cohesive and clear narrative. The storyline of the welcome area is woven throughout the workplace using the periodic table, which graphically comes to life through signage, digital touchpoints, room naming, and beautifully displayed mineral specimens.
