A Firmwide Leader of Gensler’s Sports and Convention Centers practices, Ron is one of the profession’s most recognized sports facility designers. In his professional career, he has built an impressive portfolio of emblematic, innovative sports venue designs that include three retractable roof ballparks; 12 NBA and NHL multipurpose arenas; the award-winning NFL Paul Brown Stadium; STAPLES Center; and Farmers Field, the new Los Angeles NFL stadium. Ron provides consultation to all professional major leagues in areas that include facility evaluation, design guidelines, broadcast and security requirements. He is a member of the Stadium Managers Association, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Urban Land Institute and the International Association of Venue Managers. Ron serves on the Board of Dignity Health’s California Hospital Medical Center and the Downtown LA Ketchum YMCA Board. He received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kansas School of Architecture and Design.
