As one of Gensler’s Firmwide Hospitality Practice Leaders, Steve draws on his combined expertise in design, planning, management and real estate development. He plays an active role in the ongoing growth and diversification of Gensler’s Lifestyle Sector Practice Areas, and provides leadership on a wide range of complex hotel and mixed-use projects, including the new Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in Beverly Hills, the Grand Hyatt at Seoul’s Incheon Airport, the Universal Grand Hotel at Universal Studios, MTV Resorts, and the award-winning restoration of the Belmond El Encanto Resort in Santa Barbara. Steve applies his knowledge of local and international markets and brand expertise to deliver world-class, impactful and memorable experiences to owners, developers, brands and guests. Beyond his professional commitments, Steve is passionate about making a difference in the community. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Maple Counseling Center, and volunteers his time to numerous local philanthropic organizations and events. Steve earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Kansas State University.
