Gensler is working with Chicago-based Focus on the design of a new 517-unit apartment building located on the grounds of the former Miami Starlite Motel in the heart of the city’s booming Brickell neighborhood. Featuring ground-floor retail and a 500-car parking podium, the residential development connects to the city and its vibrant culture and amplifies its outdoor lifestyle through a lush pedestrian experience, luxe interiors, and world-class amenities.

Nestled between two high-rises, the 40-story residential building emphasizes its unique footprint with gently curving terraces that are positioned to maximize views, angulating to create a larger sense of space within the individual units. On the ground floor, various retail, restaurant, cafe spaces, and a residential lobby, activate the site while thoughtful landscapes along an open paseo allow for smooth vehicle traffic and intimate pedestrian access. Designed with the needs of hybrid and remote workers in mind, the new Brickell apartment building’s amenities support the live, work, and play lifestyles of its residents.
