CoStar Irvine

Gensler D.C. partnered with global real estate information and online marketplaces company, CoStar Group, to design the workplace interiors for its Irvine, California office. Occupying an entire four-floor building in the middle of an oasis-like campus in Orange County, the CoStar Group office is surrounded by lush landscaping and gorgeous views of the enveloping Santa Ana mountains. With such a stunning backdrop, the design team kept the space relatively raw, allowing pure material textures, layered architectural designs, and panoramic sightlines to shine. The material selections, energy efficient design, and wellness approach were key attributes to attain LEED Gold Certification.

Natural materials like wood and metals blend with a neutral, calming color palette to give the office a light, bright, and unmistakably Southern California feel. Overhead light fixtures with pulsating forms encourage movement throughout corridors. A large auction room for real estate buy/sell transactions hosts walls of screens and monitors that beat with real-time real estate data. This dynamic workplace fosters innovation, product development, and future growth.
