Willowbrook MLK Wellness Community is a broad-based health and wellness center that seeks to transform medical care and health services in its South Los Angeles community through a focus on the current public health epidemics of diabetes and obesity. The Gensler design team developed an incremental series of improvements to the facility aimed at increasing physical activity and access to healthy food while elevating air and water quality. Taken together, the goal is to foster a community focused on health and individual wellness.
