Duncan has devoted more than 20 years to creating vibrant, experience-driven architecture. His expertise is reflected in a vast portfolio of major mixed-use retail centers, hotels and nightclubs, as well as large-scale entertainment and urban plans throughout the world. In his 13 years at Gensler, Duncan has championed the leadership of the firm’s Mixed Use Practice. As a Studio Leader and Design Director in our Los Angeles office, Duncan promotes a culture of design exploration and the open exchange of new ideas. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers, and he contributes to industry dialogues on the future of mixed-use and the evolution of retail centers. Duncan received a Bachelor of Architecture from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona, followed by Graduate Studies in Architectural History at the University of Florence/California State University International Studies.
