Palisades Village

Los Angeles, California

Located in the heart of Pacific Palisades, the Gensler-designed Palisades Village is a vibrant, outdoor, and community-friendly mixed-use redevelopment. It boasts an impressive array of features, including more than 40 upscale retail shops and destination restaurants, a classic cinema revived from its 1948 glory, eight luxurious rental homes, a specialty grocer, a landscaped parklet, creative office spaces, and amenity rooms available for community use.

This remarkable mixed-use destination was conceived with a vision to create a town “center” where none existed before, while also seamlessly blending with its surrounding upscale neighborhood. Palisades Village marries the casual coastal charm of the Palisades with the nostalgic ambiance of a quintessential American Main Street. Curated walkways, outdoor dining terraces, and a thoughtfully designed lawn provide welcoming gathering spots for both local residents and visitors from across Los Angeles. These public spaces come alive with movie nights, farmers markets, and a wide range of community events.

The pedestrian-centric city center intentionally reduces noise from traffic and refocuses activity away from the surrounding residential streets. The main pedestrian circulation is contained within the internal walkways, enabling enhanced landscape design and streetscape improvements, critical factors that contributed to the project earning LEED Gold Certification. This recognition is based on sustainable design strategies implemented throughout, including exceptional water efficiency, energy conservation, sustainable use of materials and resources, indoor environmental quality, and innovative design.
