Barbara is Co-Managing Director of our Los Angeles office and a Leader of Gensler’s global Health & Wellness and Sciences Practice Areas. With more than 25 years of experience in the management, design and strategic planning of highly technical environments, Barbara has broadened Gensler’s practice expertise to deliver a higher standard of innovation. She is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and has served on the Board of the Southern California Chapter of the International Interior Design Association. In the community, Barbara was recognized by The Los Angeles Business Journal as “2014 Executive of the Year: Women Making a Difference.” A passionate mentor, Barbara is actively involved with Girls Inc. and Dress for Success; and she is a member of the National Organization of Minority Architects and the Women Presidents’ Organization. Barbara holds a Bachelor of Architecture from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and studied in the Graduate Diploma Program at the Architectural Association in London. Barbara’s work has been published internationally.
