Chris brings over 20 years of experience in sports design, with a specialized focus on cutting-edge soccer venues and training facilities. His leadership in shaping the venue design guidelines for Major League Soccer underscores his influence in the industry. Renowned for crafting innovative, community-driven environments, Chris integrates sustainability as a foundational element across collegiate and professional projects.
His design philosophy centers on enhancing every aspect of a facility — from architecture and programming to operational efficiency. Chris has played a pivotal role in developing some of the nation’s most environmentally advanced stadiums, including St. Louis City FC Stadium at Energizer Park and Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Among his standout projects are the FIFA Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, KC Current Performance Center and 2nd Stadium, Husky Stadium at the University of Washington, and the renovation of the University of Notre Dame Stadium. Beyond his design work, Chris is a frequent speaker and author.
