Nathan Kim
Co‑Managing Director, Principal
As a Principal and Co-Managing Director of Gensler’s Newport Beach office, Nathan brings a deep understanding of designing for academic environments. His work includes the California State University system, community colleges, K–12, and charter schools. A hallmark of Nathan’s leadership style is fostering a collaborative process that leads to design innovation and technical excellence. Outside of Gensler, he serves as a board member for the Asian American Architects/Engineers Association, sits on the Santiago Canyon College Foundation Board, and is a member of the California Baptist University Architecture Advisory Panel. Nathan received his Bachelor of Architecture from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona and has maintained close ties with the University, regularly participating as a guest critic for the architecture program.
