Rob Jaekel, AIA
Studio Director, Senior Associate
Rob is a Studio Director and Residential Leader for Gensler’s Southeast region with extensive experience delivering large-scale projects across the East Coast. With more than eight years at Gensler, Rob brings a deep understanding of the firm’s design process and applies it to help projects move efficiently from early design through documentation and delivery. He helps guide residential work across the region — supporting consistent delivery standards, expanding the practice across offices, developing talent, and contributing to the firm’s residential point of view. His combined project and regional leadership experience allows him to bring added perspective and stability to client teams.
Rob has supported successful outcomes on projects including The Stacks in Washington, D.C.; Cencora Headquarters — formerly AmerisourceBergen — in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania; Willow Valley Mosaic in Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and The Holston in Raleigh, North Carolina. His experience spans a range of mixed-use and residential project types, providing him with practical insight into the technical, regulatory, and coordination challenges that impact complex developments. Working closely with clients, Rob takes a practical and solutions-focused approach, emphasizing clear communication and informed decision-making. As projects evolve, he manages anticipated challenges and keeps deliverables on track.
