Rocco is a Principal and Co-Managing Director of Gensler’s New York office. As an expert in the Financial Service Firms Practice Area and having served as a Firmwide Workplace Sector Leader, Rocco leads high-profile projects throughout New York City that have included workplace interiors for Morgan Stanley, Société Générale, Citigroup, and EY. In addition, he has spearheaded projects for notable media clients including Condé Nast, The New York Times, and Warner Media. With his focus on financial service firms, he is an Account Relationship Leader for Citigroup and JPMorgan Chase.
Rocco is an active member of the New York Chapter of the AIA, elevated to its College of Fellows in 2018. He is also a former Chair of the Interiors Committee, a position he held for more than five years. At AIA New York, Rocco is currently a member of the Board of Directors and the Vice President for Public Outreach. In addition, he is an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council and was a member of the New York City Green Codes Task Force. As part of Gensler’s Regional Race and Diversity Committee, he provides insight, input, and oversight of the firm’s strategy to increase diversity within the firm through initiatives that expand mentorship opportunities and create more pathways to success in the field. Dedicated to community service and youth development, Rocco serves on the BSA Exploring Advisory Committee and is a past honoree of the St. Francis Food Pantries’ Community Star Award. In 2021, he was recognized on the Crain’s New York Business Notable LGBTQ Leaders and Executives List.
