Klyde Warren Park 2.0

Dallas, Texas

Klyde Warren Park is an urban deck park built over the recessed Woodall Rodgers Freeway in Dallas, Texas. The uptown and downtown neighborhoods, once divided with highways, are now stitched together with a common front lawn. Gensler’s phase two expansion adds a 50,000-square-foot pavilion on 1.2 acres to be built over the existing freeway and contributes a stunning, innovative solution to needed private event space in the park. The park has become Dallas’ most popular public space for residents and visitors alike, as well as a catalyst for unprecedented economic development. The pavilion will enable the park to host private events, an important ingredient in the ability to provide free programming for many years to come.
