Max Brenner Chocolate Bar

Tokyo, Japan

Having established popularity in its home country and several other international locales, this Israeli chocolatier sought to expand its brand presence in Asia with the opening of its first store in Tokyo. The design concept, based on the notion of a chocolate factory that appeals to all the senses, resulted in a casual setting with an upscale ambience. Eye-catching colors, vibrant digital displays, dramatic lighting and the aroma of chocolate are seamlessly integrated to pique the interest of passersby. Gensler developed globally applicable design guidelines for two separate locations, while configurations were adjusted to respond to the distinct demographics of each location.
