Eric Liao

Eric is a Project Director in Gensler’s Hospitality practice, who brings over 20 years of architectural experience in the U.S. and Taiwan. He specializes in embedding operational intelligence into design, achieving a dynamic balance between business performance and aesthetic spaces. His work embeds hyper-local narratives and regenerative sustainability to create community-engaged destinations that leverage predictive personalization and multi-sensory experiences to define transformative guest experiences.

With a focus on experience-driven design, operation-enabled functionality, and experience-enriched iteration, his methodology reduces owner renovation costs while activating commercial potential through cultural awareness and sustainable solutions. Prior to joining Gensler, he served as Head of Design and VP of Business Development at Naked Group, following roles at AECOM and ATKINS, where he delivered diverse projects across mixed-use, hospitality, healthcare, and commercial sectors.
