As a Design Director at Gensler London as well as Leader of the firm’s Tall Buildings practice, Russell contributes his extensive expertise in designing significant architecture projects. With nearly 40 years of experience, Russell’s portfolio is extremely diverse across a wide variety of project types, including tall building architecture, workplace, hospitality, mixed use, retail, and technology. His work focuses on high-profile architecture and masterplanning in multiple building types across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

Russell’s previous experience includes roles at SOM, ASGG, Richard Rogers Partnership, and Foster & Partners. His completed award-winning projects include ‘Pearl River Tower’ in Guangzhou, Protos Winery in Northern Spain, Glyndebourne Opera House, ‘Reichstag’ Parliament Building, Berlin, and 88 Wood Street for Daiwa Europe Properties in London. A recognized expert, he has published and lectured internationally on high-performance design for low- energy, high-rise buildings. Russell formerly served on the Advisory Board for the Council for Tall Buildings & Urban Habitat.
