Zhen Cheng is a Co-Office Managing Director and a global and regional leader of Gensler’s Build to Suit & Headquarters practice with over 24 years of architectural design and project management experience. As a New York State Registered Architect, Zhen has worked in Shanghai, Raleigh, and New York on a wide variety of projects. Many of his projects have focused on minimizing environmental impact while enhancing and enriching the human experience. His diverse portfolio includes mixed-use projects, retail architecture, office towers, and luxury hotels.
Zhen’s collaborative leadership style and team-building skills have been key to his career success. Leveraging his outstanding communication and coordination skills, he consistently delivers customized, unique design solutions that address the client's needs and completes projects on time and within budget, while achieving exemplary design performance. Zhen holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a Master of Architecture from North Carolina State University.
