Aeonica

Gensler partnered with Spacestor to create Aeonica, an award-winning interior landscaping toolkit designed to transform workspace environments. Gensler designed Aeonica to be fun to use, offering a sense of play to designers and clients looking to create new possibilities.

Inspired by timeless classical architectural forms, Aeonica uses five simple geometric building blocks to offer a highly adaptable kit-of-parts. Naturally defining zones within open-plan environments, this toolkit enables the creation of versatile spaces, such as privacy nooks, meeting spaces, and alcoves while also enabling larger, enclosed zones that provide visual and acoustic separation. The interior landscaping system ensures components can be reconfigured and reused, supporting sustainability and adaptability in dynamic workplace settings.

Developed through collaboration across Gensler’s studios in London, Paris, and the United States, Aeonica delivers a universal design language suited to global applications. The system addresses modern workplace demands for flexibility, blending soft, organic shapes with functional design to create spaces that feel playful, welcoming, and refreshing. Its material palette incorporates six mineral-inspired shades like limestone and granite to evoke a biophilic connection to nature.

Winner of Le FRENCH DESIGN 100 in 2023, Aeonica has been recognised as one of the top 100 French design and interior architecture projects from around the world that celebrate French savoir-faire, craftsmanship, and the art of living.
