Barringer Construction

Charlotte, North Carolina

Can a construction company be synonymous with wonder and fun? In Barringer’s case, the answer is yes. Having outgrown its old space, Barringer purchased a warehouse in an up-and-coming area of Charlotte and hired Gensler to transform it into a collaborative and inspiring new workplace. Organized around a series of gathering spaces, including a cozy den and an open kitchen and bar, the revamped warehouse expresses the company’s casual and quirky personality. The creative use of construction materials and details blend modernity with found elements to express Barringer’s commitment to craft, quality and experience. Honoring community, the new space is designed as a welcoming drop-in spot for the local community of subcontractors and vendors.
