Gensler and this practice have collaborated since 1992 on designs of the firm’s law offices. In its initial project, Gensler performed a site analysis and space evaluations on four local buildings, benchmarking against the firm’s existing building at 60 State Street—which it ultimately chose to retain. Gensler’s renovations stemmed from the feasibility of adding contiguous floors, while developing space and equipment standards, simplifying staff changes and accommodating growth. The redesign enabled the firm to make significant changes in the positioning and use of staff. Gensler has since undertaken a renovation of all 12 floors with a design emblematic of the firm’s mission and values.
