Gensler Vancouver

Vancouver, Canada

Rooted in the spirit of the West Coast and connected to the firm’s global network, Gensler’s Vancouver office reimagines the modern workplace as a space for connection, collaboration, and wellbeing, blending local identity with a global vision — all while fostering a true sense of place.

At its heart is the Welcome Mural by artists Debra Sparrow and Cole Sparrow-Crawford. The mural is a bold reflection of our ongoing journey toward Reconciliation and our commitment to meaningful engagement with Indigenous culture. As one moves from the reception area to the ‘Tunnel,’ mural moments spread to the columns, extending the piece into the office and framing the mountain view. The tunnel experience serves as a reminder of our values which are etched across the walls.

Collaboration is the driving force behind the office design. From expansive project rooms to cosy kitchen banquettes, the layout encourages everything from spontaneous chats to deep teamwork, while still supporting focused, independent work. Material choices echo Vancouver’s landscape and lifestyle — flannel-inspired textures, muted reds, and natural tones bring warmth and authenticity. It’s a space that feels casual yet energetic, grounding yet forward-looking.

Designed across three interconnected scales — our city, our people, and our values — the space invites visitors to experience who we are from the moment they arrive. Whether it’s gathering in a social hub, walking through the mural-lined tunnel, or simply looking out at the mountains, every moment in the office is intentional. Gensler Vancouver is a resilient, human-centered workplace — built for now, and ready for what’s next.
