Marymount University Ballston Center Redevelopment

Arlington, Virginia

On a corner in Arlington, Virginia’s bustling business corridor, a new model for higher education draws in the business world and local community. The former site of Marymount University's dated building is transformed into a new type of education environment. Marymount’s new home for their business school and graduate programs is an academic office building that offers leasable space for various companies. It enables an ongoing dialogue between the university and business entities, and enhances the quality and value of Marymount’s programs. Along with their development partner, the Shooshan Company, Marymount bundled this facility in a new mixed-use development. Thus, the live-work-play model gains an additional element: learn.
