Midtown East

Raleigh, North Carolina

Situated on a former industrial site, Midtown East leverages its great location to transform a prominent corridor in Downtown Raleigh into a retail destination. Comprised of seven single-story retail buildings, a large grocery store anchor, a parking deck, a new hotel, and an adjacent revitalized retail center, the project creates a new identity for this district that’s rooted in a modern interpretation of vernacular, North Carolina masonry storefront architecture. The buildings shape and activate a new interior streetscape, rich with an inviting landscape, public art, a public commons, and lighting design that raises the bar on traditional retail center design.
