People’s Daily Beijing

Beijing, China

China’s top media leader and voice of the central government, People’s Daily, is fostering an unprecedented work approach to meet the evolving needs of the media industry. The Gensler design team worked through client sessions to define key work modes and functional spaces needed for People’s Daily’s future workplace. The 3,200-square-meter workspace is separated into four key work zones. The west zone is designed to be the core command center with advanced technology facilities, while the east zone features a support area. The workplace design opens up its north-south spaces to unique and integrated media platforms that are designed to accommodate the diversified and flexible spatial needs for media consolidation. A range of workplace furniture solutions supports various types of work modes.
