American Kennel Club Headquarters

Having designed their headquarters 20 years ago, Gensler was enlisted by the American Kennel Club (AKC) to create a mission-driven headquarters that celebrates their passion for dogs. The design links AKC’s rich heritage and vision through the juxtaposition of classical elements and modern sensibilities. The workplace consists of four experience zones: a reception area which doubles as a gallery space to showcase AKC’s art collection, a glass-enclosed library space and boardroom with custom triangular lighting fixtures, the communal cafe with collaborative spaces, and private and open workspace where all employees have access to views and natural light.
