Given the law firm’s growth and expanding presence in the San Francisco market, it was time for Baker Botts to transform its inherited office into a space that better reflects its brand and culture. The non-contiguous suites and unique stair-stepped, circular floorplates tested Gensler’s space planning prowess and challenged the design team to create a cohesive user experience. This opportunity opened the conversation for progressive design concepts, like no “corner offices” and universal-sized offices, resulting in a legal workplace design that celebrates the firm’s fluidity to new ways of thinking, and impeccable focus towards quality while honoring the natural surroundings.
