C3

Culver City, California

Envisioned for the rising demographic of creative workers, C3 is a heterogeneous office building that challenges preconceptions about workplace design. Its seven stories of varied height can be built inexpensively and with flexible provisions for tenant growth. Exposed infrastructure invites opportunities for interaction and creative impact, and tenant spaces include porches overlooking the mezzanine and surroundings, which can also serve as public platforms. Parking connects to two floors via flyover bridges, and walkways span in nontraditional ways, drawing tenants together into a shared, hackable environment. Elements not traditionally paired with work are woven together in C3, redefining the category to achieve greater volume, variety and flexibility.
